Painting 'Evening Lights'

This is one of James's latest pieces. One of his favourite times of day to gather source imagery is during dusk and early evening when the sky is a pulsating curtain of different hues; indigo, violet, and midnight blue. Car lights and streetlights create a wonderfully blurry tapestry of fireworks that are equally reflected in the wet surface beneath them. It has since gone to a lovely collector from Vancouver.
